Jyotirmoy is a lecturer in Decision Sciences at the Sheffield University Management School (University of Sheffield, UK) since December 2022. He worked at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow in the Decision Sciences area between 2017 - 2022, and at IIM Udaipur in the Operations, Quantitative Methods & Information Systems area between 2014 - 2017.

His research interests involve large-scale optimization techniques to humanitarian logistics, emergency network design, food insecurity systems, etc. His works have appeared in Transportation Science, IISE Transactions, Naval Research Logistics, Safety Science, and several other peer-reviewed journals.
