Subhasish M. Chowdhury (Subho) is a professor of economics at the University of Sheffield. He directs the BRAINS (Behavioural Research Alliance for Impact and Networks at Sheffield) research centre and leads the Behavioural Economics Research Group.
A microeconomist, his expertise covers behavioural economics, game theory, and industrial organization among others. His research has been published in leading academic journals including the Economic Journal, European Economic Review, Games and Economic Behavior, Journal of Public Economics, and Economic Theory.
Subho contributes actively to the economics community, currently serving a term on the Executive Committees of the (2023-26), and the . He also holds editorial roles for journals such as Frontiers in Behavioral Economics, the Journal of Competition Law and Economics, and Peace Economics, Peace Science and Public Policy. Previously, he served editorial duties for Economic Inquiry, the Journal of Economics Psychology, and Studies in Microeconomics.
