Research interests

I am an Applied Econometrician with research interests in Labour Economics and Education Economics. My work examines labour market inequalities by gender and ethnicity; educational and early labour market outcomes of young people; and the effects of child poverty and early-life deprivation on child development.

I am interested in supervising PhD students in any of these areas.

Teaching activities

I view teaching as an interactive process where both instructor and students learn and grow. My goal is to spark curiosity, encourage independent thinking, and communicate complex ideas in clear, accessible ways. I adapt course content to the audience—emphasizing core concepts and real-world applications for undergraduates, and focusing on advanced research tools and models for graduate students. I also stress the importance of linking course material to the broader curriculum to enhance coherence and understanding.

I teach on the undergraduate module ‘Economic Analysis of Inequality and Poverty’. I also supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation students.
