Meurig was appointed as a University Teacher in Metallurgy in January 2019 following a period as post-doctoral research associate in advanced metals manufacturing in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering.
After graduating with an MEng in Materials Science & Engineering from Imperial College London, Meurig undertook his doctoral studies at the University of Sheffield where he investigated the effect of shot peening on the microstructural stability of titanium alloys following prolonged thermal exposure.
