Dr. Daniela Sawyer is a seasoned expert in automation and robotics, currently serving as the Senior Theme Lead for Automation at the University of Sheffield, AMRC. Her personal research focuses on robotic machining, accurate robotics, and dynamics. Since joining the AMRC in 2017, Daniela has successfully led projects for renowned manufacturers across various industries, leveraging both conventional and non-conventional manufacturing techniques. She has collaborated with organisations like ATI and EPSRC to advance robotics and automation research in manufacturing. Daniela represents the AMRC at national level as as a member of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC) Special Purpose Group (SPG) for Automation, at European level as a member of the editorial team of ManuFUTURE's Working Group 'Automation of end-to-end and circular processes' and ADRA, and at international level as a member of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) research committee.
